The Neverending Story

8 05 2007

I’m not one to write about celebrities (ok.. that’s a lie), but this really got to me. I’m going to quote a website that I will share with you at the end of this post.

Paris Hilton jail

“In September of 2006 , Paris Hilton she was arrested for driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher. In January, Hilton pleaded no contest to those charges and was sentenced to 36 months probation, her drivers license was suspended and she was ordered to enroll in an alcohol education program within 21 days. She never enrolled in the program and she was photographed driving her Bentley convertible just two days later.

Just one month later (on February 27), she was pulled over by Los Angeles County Sheriffs deputies at 10:30 at night for driving 70 miles per hour, without her headlights on, down Sunset Boulevard, which is a 35 miles per hour zone.

In March 2007, the Los Angeles City’s Attorney’s Office filed a motion citing Hilton for violating the terms of her DUI probation, asking for 45 days in jail, even though the law allowed Paris to be sentenced to 90 days in jail. Hilton violated at least three conditions of her probation; driving at 70 mph without her headlights on in a 35 mph zone, driving with a suspended license, and failing to enroll in the court-ordered alcohol education program.”

Naturally, my first reaction to hearing about the 45-day sentence was, “Great, she violated her probation, and the law allows her to be sentenced.” But after being told of a petition to free Paris Hilton from the charges so she wouldn’t have to serve her jail time, I was besides myself. Not only was this petition’s link being passed around everywhere, but she’s openly promoting it on her MySpace page, and wherever else she goes. So not only am I besides myself, but I’m in total shock. Once again, another celebrity is trying to prove to the world that they are above the law, and can do whatever they want (See Mel Gibson…. bastard!).

So, in the midst of my rant, I’m urging everyone I know to sign a counter-petition that is in agreement to Hilton’s 45-Day jail sentence. Nobody is above the law. Lets make sure she doesn’t dodge the law yet again!

Sign the Petition!

(Note: When signing, it will prompt you to make a donation to the website, but you do not have to make a donation. Your signature will have already been recorded once you reach that screen. Don’t let that scare you away from signing the petition. However, if you feel like making a donation, go for it!)

Phew… that was tiring… why don’t you check out my Daily Moment of Zen while I catch my breath…

I miss being a kid watching this movie…

The best is the petition to free her begins with:
“Paris Whitney Hilton is an American celebrity and socialite. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton. She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives.”

Brendon on put it best when he said “Well when you put it like that I’m putty in your hands you silver tongued devil. I forgot that she inherited a bunch of money and provided beauty all over the world. We should all sign this and put Paris back behind the wheel. We should also go to the zoos and free all the polar bears and lions, just let em run loose on the streets, because it’s pretty much the same thing.”

You drive and drink, you serve in the clink. Done and done. God, this woman infuriates me! Paris Hilton does not provide hope; she presents a road hazard!

Evil Little Sister

Did you know that when you look up “The Neverending Story” in, it shows up as # “Unendliche Geschichte, Die” (1996)
aka “The NeverEnding Story”. How lame! You know who I really feel bad for in the film? Bastian. Poor poor Bastian. He gets sucked into a world against his own will. You know what, if I were him, I would sue! Just to see The Childlike Empress go and do jail time just like miss Hilton. She’ll never suck in another child into her world again. I guarantee you! You know what I think of every time someone mentions “the Neverending Story?” *This is the story that never ends! Yes it goes on and on my friends. Some people started reading it, not knowing what it was. And they’ll continue reading i forever just because; this is the story that never ends . . .* You get the idea! =) Great blog by the way. Very ummm . . . inspirational? =P

What have to say about this b…uh…”pathetic specimen of femininity” begins with the letters “f” and “c” and is not work appropriate. So y’all must use the imagination at this time.
