High School Farse-ical

30 09 2007

Is anyone else getting sick and tired of the “High School Musical” craze? Amazed at how some people are obsessed with such a cheesy and Disney-fied show? Then join me in laughing at yet another awesome clip from this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live. LeBron James and crew take a hilarious poke at the latest Disney craze!

Iran So Far

30 09 2007

I have officially seen the best SNL Digital Short ever! This one is even better than “Dick in a Box” with Justin Timberlake. This time, Adam Levine and Jake Gyllenhaal join Andy Samberg and Fred Armisen as they take aim at Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I couldn’t stop laughing when I watched this on SNL last night, and again when NBC had uploaded the short onto YouTube. NBC has taken the clip down, but that doesn’t mean I couldn’t find another working clip. Enjoy!

EDIT: YouTube is removing the video from its users based on a violation claim ever since NBC took the original video down. Eventually, the clip below will disappear as I run out of YouTube url’s to use. Enjoy the clip while it lasts!

Remembering an Angel of Music

Forever a Star of Gladness

Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, know also as the “Gentle Giant”, was indeed an angel of music. The peaceful demeanor between his voice and ukulele has yet to be matched. There was none other in this world who could spread the message of happiness like Israel. When he was lost in 1997, the world lost an true angel of music. His music has and forever will be n influence on my own life, and my own music. I do hope you come back someday, Israel, to grace the world with your music once again.

Colbert for President (2008)

27 09 2007

I believe a president should be honest. As far as I can see, there is only 1 person in the United States who is worthy of all of those traits. Why just one? Because he’s not a politician, and we all know politicians are forbidden from honesty. This person I am speaking of is no other than, Stephen Colbert. Sure, his shtick is all for show. It’s all a big comedic charade that ends up with boosted ratings for his show “The Colbert Report” (which everyone should be watching). But if he used that shtick for the good of the nation, I would vote for him 10,000 times if I could! What was the deciding factor in realizing my support for Mr. Colbert? Remember when he was called upon to speak at the White House Correspondent Dinner? Remember when he roasted President Bush? Yeah… good times. Well, that sealed the deal for me.

But more recently, Colbert joined Jon Stewart at this year’s Prime Time Emmy Awards to give out a Reality Show award. Once again, he didn’t fail to impress, with his honest views on what reality televison really does for America… even though he was clearly devastated after losing to Barry Manilow.

Byaaah!

Call it genious on the part of Dave Chappelle. Call it genious on the part of Howard Dean. Either way, it’s hilarious! Byah!

Seth Almighty

17 09 2007

I’m not one to bring shed light on a “celebrity” situation, but Chris Crocker’s rant about Britney Spears left me laughing so hard, my stomach was killing me for a few days. In case you missed it, Chris Crocker released a YouTube video a while back, and was upset at how the the tabloids and general public was talking about Britney Spears. Here’s the infamous video that he recorded.

Are you laughing yet?

Now, bring Seth Green into the picture, and you’ve got a hilarious spoof of that amazingly funny video. Could it really get that much funnier than Chris Crocker? I say yes! Seth, take it away!

I love my grandmother too!

10,000 Thanks!

17 09 2007

This morning, I saw that the counter on the blog had finally hit the 10,000 mark! It may be a small number, compared to a ton of other blogs out there, but it’s quite an accomplishment for me. I was never much of a writer, or a blogger. But since I found WordPress, it’s been getting easier and easier.

Well, enough with the sappy thank you speech. In honor of the blog hitting the 10,000 reader mark, I give you 2 Moments of Zen that could very well be worth the 10,000 readers! Enjoy!
