Chocolate Rain? Have Some Berries!

5 09 2008

Tay Zonday has got nothing on Richie Rich, The Kangol Kid and Mixmaster Ice. Say who? Say what? That’s right, I said it. Forget Chocolate Rain! Like it was stated over at MetsBlog, I too was upset with myself for not knowing that this song was in existence. Ignore the random images in the video and keep your ears tuned to the 1987 smash hit, known as “Chocolate Strawberry”.

He took 3rd base while you wasn’t lookin’ (God bless grammar!)

Put Down The Duckie!

[ Thanks to “What Would Keith Do” for this video ]

I always love finding videos that take me back to my childhood, but finding this video brought together two things I loved when I was growing up: Sesame Street and the New York Mets!

You’d better listen to the ‘stache!

I Knew It!

Oh Sarah, you naughty girl you!

Jimmy Strikes Back!

What makes this second video hilarious (aside from the obvious running joke that Jimmy and Sarah have going) is the amount of celebrities that participated in this video. Yet another reason why I still think Jimmy was the better “Man Show” host! Go Jimmy!

Live Music versus Produced Music

26 02 2008

Remember the good ol’ days when musicians and artists would play live shows, and sounds just like (or even better than) their recorded albums? I sure miss those days. Paul Simon live sounded like a Paul Simon record. Billy Joel live sounded like a Billy Joel record. I’m sure you can catch my drift. Well, times have seemingly changed, and I felt like blogging about a topic that I’ve debated with some of my friends for a long while. What I’m going to do is share two videos, featuring a band called “Panic! At The Disco”. One video will be a produced music video, and the other will be a live performance. I’m interested in hearing which version of the song sounds better, and why you think so.

Remember, be as open and honest as possible. I’m really interested in hearing your truthful non-biased opinions. Watch, and discuss!

Ice Ice Crazy

6 02 2008

Today’s daily YouTube snooping found me searching for old Vanilla Ice videos. Vanilla who? You know, Rob Van Winkle? The Iceman? Bi-Polar?

Anyway, I found these two videos, and proceeded to laugh my ass off at both of them. The first, was a hilarious parody of “Ice Ice Baby” that Jim Carey performed on “In Living Color” (My goodness… remember that show?). The other, is a video of Mr. Van Winkle smashing stuff with a bat, which was equally as funny as Carey’s performance. Enjoy!

His grandma gave him that dumb jacket…

Whoa there, Mr. Bi-Polar!

Tay Zonday + YouTube = Dr. Pepper

29 11 2007

Many of you have see the video recorded for Tay Zonday’s “Chocolate Rain”. Tay now has a music video that was created to promote a new Dr. Pepper drink, that features a remixed version of that song called “Cherry Chocolate Rain”. Before you watch, are you thinking “Wow, Tay sold out!”? Personally, I think Tay is deserving of the opportunity to have a sponsored video recorded. It’s because of the YouTube phenomenon that he even has the opportunity. On the note of the video, it’s pretty cheesy, and the lyrics are obviously messed around with to promote the product. There’s even a little rap going on. It’s pretty crazy, but still great to see for Tay. Sellout or not, Enjoy!

Was that chocolate? or…
